As the Water chemistry can be managed with the Reef Moonshiner's ICP tests and program, harmful substances that may inhibit Coral health and Coloration are identified with the ORGANO-MS test finally, and now the Aquabiomics Microbiome Test gives the Hobbyist a comprehensive insight about the Bacterial Profile in your tank as that is one of the most important Data and insight to your tank, if your Biology does what it is supposed to do, which is to keep your tank and Corals thriving and healthy! 

There is increasing Biomarker data in the profile that is shared within the Reef Moonshiner's community where significant Coral and Tank health issues can be identified with! The findings can be a simple imbalance of your bacteria where the dominant bacteria can indicate a problem in the filtration and maintenance of the Aquarium. However these imbalances can have big impacts on the water clarity and nutrient reduction behavior of the Reeftank and issues with the resistance of Corals against pathogens and diseases.

Very important is a specific biomarker as the Pelagibacter family that should be the dominant species in the overall Bacteria profile as it is the most abundant bacteria in a healthy Reef Aquarium and it's absence or very low ratio compared to other bacteria in the tank, can indicate easily a problem in the overall setup and filtration, aeration, degassing, carbohydrate issues, over filtration with Ozone/Bleach/Hydrogen Peroxide etc. or simply too much micronutrients and organic waste compounds in the water. 
It is very clearly to see very very often sudden RTN/STN issues on Corals when this Biomarker is too low.

Also, this Test also indicates medium to very harmful to Livestock and Hobbyists such as Arcobacter which is a very difficult to eradicate bacterium in the tank and you want to be aware of it's presence. Arcobacter contaminated tanks do have often RTN/STN issues and poor Coral health and other problems even while chemistry is managed spot on with the previous mentioned Water tests.

The Test also identifies a variety of known Fish & Coral Disease bacteria in the water, that if known and detected, will allow the Hobbyist to revisit the food, carbohydrate and supplement sources that go in the tank that may contribute to those bacterial issues. Often the lack of aeration and degassing or excess use of specific Vitamins, specific Amino Acids in excess, supplemented organics and Planktons do fuel certain bacteria and won't help to rebalance the Aquarium. 

Very important is the detection of severe harmful bacteria such as Mycobacterium or many Vibrio species that are causing a serious health risk to the Hobbyist. Do not underestimate the very high likelihood of Mycobacterium infections from your tank as any microscopic skin damage will allow the bacterium to infect your body! There are remedies that can be done to control and remedy these infections, however it is important to know if there is a thread from that Aquarium or not in order to protect yourself and Livestock.
